Overview
Local Year in Search 2024 is an interactive Google Trends experience that highlights what people searched for most—by location—across categories such as food, entertainment, sports, and culture. The experience needed to support large volumes of localized data while remaining clear, approachable, and easy to explore across devices.
My role focused on executing the mobile and desktop visual design, translating established interaction patterns and content structures into responsive, production-ready layouts that could scale across breakpoints.
Outcome
The final experience delivered a consistent and polished visual language across platforms, enabling users to explore local search trends intuitively on both mobile and desktop. The designs supported Google’s broader storytelling goals while remaining flexible enough to accommodate future updates and additional datasets.
